16-17 ATO - Team 5 - Night Owls - Whitby Night Owls Atom HL – Win Gold Again at Oshawa Spring Classic
Submitted By Tyler Barnett on Friday, March 10, 2017
Tournament The Whitby Night Owls once again take the Gold Medal at the 2017 Oshawa Lady Generals Spring Classic Tournament (March 3 to 5).

This is the second Gold Medal this year for the Night Owls and once again displayed a great all-around team effort. Over the 6 games, almost everyone on the team contributed with at least one goal and every player had an assist. The final game was another close 3-1 victory over a good team from Clarington. Once again our defensive play and excellent passing on the offense were the keys to our success. We had fantastic goaltending, the forwards backchecked as hard as they forechecked which lead to several opportunities to score. Most important, every player gave 110% for their fellow Night Owls and they kept a “Go and Get It” attitude throughout the tournament.
Overall the girls had an amazing weekend and we want to thank the Oshawa Lady Generals organization for hosting such a well-run tournament. A special Thank You to all the parents for the continued support this year and the early mornings.

Congratulations and Excellent Job Night Owls!
