Pink the Rink - February 7, 2016
Thank you to all those who came out to the "Pink the Rink" event in support of Emma Kenyon!
The Novice DS Blue team, through generous donations from those in attendance, raised over $500 for the Kenyon family to help with their everyday costs. Emma was presented with the team's pink practice jersey which has been a commemorative initiative developed by the coaches to honour Emma’s battle with cancer and given to the hardest working member of the team in practice. Emma also received a Whitby Wolves toque; a care package from the Wee Braveheart foundation; and, the Aurora Panthers showed their support with a special presentation and gift from their team. Emma was in attendance to join her fellow Whitby Wolves and dropped the ceremonial puck to kick off the game against the Aurora Panthers. Thank you again to all those who attended the game and showed their support for the Kenyon family.
