Bringing the Bronze to Whitby!!
This past weekend the Novice DS White team participated in the
49th Annual Leaside March Break Madness tournament and returned home
as Bronze medalists!!
It was a huge tournament with 16 teams competing in our division. The girls played 6 games with the last 3 consecutive games going into OT followed by a shootout. On Sunday while struggling with the time change and being at the rink for 7 am the girls fought with everything they had in the bronze medal game vs Stoney Creek and after a shootout that went 10 rounds they emerged victorious with a 3-2 win! When it was all said and done they played 18 periods of hockey, 3 OT periods and 3 shootouts in just 48 hours! A tremendous weekend had by our girls, coaches and parents.
