The Whitby Wolves House League U18 team, the Mighty Pucks, delivered an outstanding performance this weekend, earning a silver medal at the Oshawa Winter Classic Tournament.
From the opening puck drop, the Mighty Pucks demonstrated determination, teamwork, and resilience against strong competition. The team battled through every shift with relentless forechecking, responsible defensive play, and unwavering support for one another on and off the ice.
Throughout the tournament, the players showcased tremendous growth and composure. Timely goals, key defensive stops, and steady goaltending propelled the team through the round-robin and into the championship game. No matter the score or situation, the bench remained energized and united — a true reflection of the character within this group.
While the gold medal game was hard fought, the Mighty Pucks left everything on the ice and represented the Whitby Wolves with pride and sportsmanship. Their silver medal finish is a testament not only to their skill, but to their perseverance and commitment to each other all season long.
