Nova Scotia - Congratulations to defender, Kali Maechtel on her silver medal at the 2026 U18 World Championships with Team Canada! Kali represented her country with pride and made everyone here at home so proud.
Throughout six games, Kali had 4 points on 4 assists. After an undefeated round robin, Canada met Team Finland in the quarter final where they flew to a 12-0 victory. In the semi-finals, they met Team Czechia, who gave them a good test early in the game but Canada ultimately prevailed with a 8-1 victory.
In the Gold Medal game, it was a classic rivalry game between Canada and the United States. After a lot of back and forth play, exciting moments, it was ultimately the United States who came out on top.
We are so proud of Kali and how she represented not only her country but the whole Wolves organization. Way to go, Kali!
