Town of Whitby Vaccination Requirement Update and NEW Facility Protocols
The below summary is specific to the Town of Whitby and that rules regarding Proof of Vaccination requirements and exemptions may vary by public health unit / region / municipality / location / specific facility and that these rules may change. Communication with individual facilities is crucial.
You do not need to provide proof of vaccination (proof of ID showing name and age may be required) if you are actively participating in indoor organized sport (training, practices, games and competitions).
Proof of full vaccination, as well as photo ID needs to be shown at the door prior to entry to the arena (photo ID or any identification confirming name and date of birth).
You must be fully vaccinated, meaning you must have both doses of a two dose vaccine or one dose of a single dose vaccine plus 14 days AND provide proof of vaccination along with identification on EACH visit.
Workers or Volunteers, including Coaches and Officials:
You do not need to show proof of vaccination to enter a Town of Whitby facility if you are there for the purposes of participating in indoor organized sport (training, practices, games and competitions). If you are there as a spectator you must provide proof of vaccination.
Please be advised that the OWHA has mandated, as a condition of eligibility in any OWHA-sanctioned activity, that everyone born in 2009 and earlier must be fully vaccinated. Please see OWHA Important Update - VACCINATIONS

Please note that the Town of Whitby staff cannot retain vaccine records and therefore proof with ID must be presented each visit.
