The Whitby Night Owls took the Gold Medal at the Clarington 2017 Shannon Houston Roehrig Memorial HL Tournament held on the January 13-15 weekend.
The team took 6 games to win the championship. The team played extremely well with assists and goals from many of the players. The final game was a close 2-0 win with our second goal scored with only 4 mins left in the 3rd. In the end, the keys to our success were our great defensive play, fantastic goaltending, our relentless offensive attack and most important, every player giving 110% effort for their team.Overall the girls had an amazing weekend and we want to thank the Clarington Flames organization for hosting such a well-run tournament. Congratulations and Excellent Job Night Owls! This article has been viewed 879 times.
