Development Stream (DS) is a subset of House League intended to further develop players who are looking to move into higher levels of hockey, or who are simply looking for a more competitive hockey experience. DS players will continue to play in house league on their existing teams in addition to practices, games, and tournaments at the DS level. All U13 house league players are eligible to try out for DS.
Our team will consist of 15 players (9 forwards & 6 defence) and 2 goalies. Interested players will attend tryouts, which will be held in early November (the specific date/time is not yet available).
Players who are interested in trying out are encouraged to attend our Wolf Pack development skates on October 19, 24, 26, and 28 (more details here). Note that Wolf Pack skates are open to all house league players, so even if you don't intend on trying out you are still encouraged to attend for some extra ice time and development.
DS players will practice about once a week. Our practices will be high-tempo and will focus on skills development at a higher level than house league - both for individuals and as a team. Forwards, defence and goaltenders will all receive instruction specific to their position and skill level to help them further develop.
We will play games against DS teams from other centres and will attend 3 tournaments.
