Peewee DS - White, 2017-18, DS (Whitby Girls Hockey Association)

Congratulations to the girls on a fabulous weekend of entertaining and competitive hockey played with spirit and respect!  Playing in their second major tournament in a field of 14 team entries, the girls knew coming into this weekend that they would need to be ready to play and compete.  

The girls managed a 6-0 record against some very competitive DS teams marking a successful first tournament performance for the team.  The path to the finals was not easy as the girls found themselves behind late in the second game against the Burlington Barracudas who took a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period before the girls battled back for a come from behind win in the final minutes.  The momentum gained was enough to carry the team onto victories against a strong Stoney Creek Sabers team followed by the Mississauga Chiefs as well as the Aurora Panthers in the elimination rounds before facing ...
