Midget BB, 2017-18, REP (Whitby Girls Hockey Association)

What an amazing weekend! The girls went undefeated the whole tournament placing 1st in the round robin of their pool. When competing against a very physical team during the semi-finals, the girls did not give in and won with a score of 3-2. During the finals, the opposing team was very eager to redeem themselves as they lost 4-0 during the round robin. Our girls scored 2 goals after the first 5 minutes into the 1st period, putting pressure in the opposing team's end. After a rough start and finishing 5th in a 6 teams pool in the round robin; the girls took a well deserved win in the elimination game. Then in the semis took on rival team from Oshawa who was placed 1st in the pool. It was an exciting game which took us to OT and 6 rounds of shootouts where both teams were still tied. At the 7th round, our goalie ShanChan stopped the puck while her teammate Taylor Donelle scored the winning goal!  At the final facing the Scarborough home team; the team with a great 3-0 win to captured GOLD! Congratulations Ladies on a well deserved Gold!
