Atom A, 2018-19, REP (Whitby Girls Hockey Association)

The Atom A team will help make the holidays a little brighter for some less fortunate students from the Durham Alternative Secondary School.  On December 9, 2018 our little elves met at Wal-Mart to purchase items for hampers for students in need.  The busy elves searched high and low for great deals to provide these students with items such as hygienic products, hats, mitts, socks, gift cards etc. Giving back and spreading the Christmas spirit was a great experience and we could not be more proud of these players for their hard work.

Atom A wins Silver Medal in the Whitby Tournament of Heroes! The girls played their hearts out to make it to the championship game, but fell to Leaside in the final 3-0.Their hard work and determination has paid off and they were rewarded with their 2nd Silver Medal this season.Go Wolves Go!

The Atom A team won silver this weekend at the Waterloo Fall Challenge Cup November 2-4, 2018.  The team went undefeated into the Championship game.  They lost in a shoot out to Kitchener after double overtime.  We are so proud of these girls and their hard work and determination.   Go Wolves Go!

The WGHA would like to extend our congratulations to Andrea Murphy (nee Babony) for being inducted into the Concordia University Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday, September 23, 2018.  We are very fortunate to have coaches like Andrea in our association to teach, mentor and inspire our girls.
