Bantam AA Stuffing the Bug!
The Whitby Bantam AA team took time out from their team Christmas party celebration and participated in the "Stuff the Bug" toy drive at Iroquois Park with gifts that they had purchased. They wanted to remember that there are children that are less fortunate in our community and hoped to provide them with a gift and joy on Christmas day. The team and parents also wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New year.
STUFF A BUG FOR SANTA
The Town of Whitby’s annual Stuff a Bug for Santa campaign kicked off this year at the Christmas tree-lighting ceremony at Celebration Square outside the Whitby Public Library on Dec. 5. The campaign encourages donations of new toys for less fortunate children in the community on Christmas morning. The campaign’s signature Volkswagen Beetle will again offer residents the fun of stuffing toys through the open sunroof. The Salvation Army distributes these to disadvantaged families in the region. The ‘Bug’ is located at Iroquois Park Sports Centre in the front lobby, by the main doors.
