Midget BB, 2016-17, REP (Whitby Girls Hockey Association)

Whitby Wolves Midget BB defeated Lakeshore Lightning to win the gold medal at the Whitby Tournament of Heros on December 4th, 2016.  The Whitby Wolves played 6 games to get the gold.  After 3 periods in the finals, Whitby was tied with Lakeshore 3 - 3.  The game went into 5 minutes of overtime with net minder Ju Ju Tayor making the TSN play of the game - she stopped a clear break away with a puck to the left shoulder.  The game went into a shoot out with Wilton and Bank Gillis coming up short; however, Pereira sealed the deal that moved the shoot out to sudden death.  After 4 shooters, ...

The Whitby Wolves Midget BB girls defeated the Georgina Golden Hawks in a hard fought battle at the Rickard's Centre on Sunday afternoon.  The Wolves beat Georgina 4 to 3 in Whitby's first tournament of the season.  Coach Greg Wight said, "the girls showed perseverance and tenacity".  Assistance Coach Rob Lucas agreed with Coach Wight but added the girls played with heart.
